Earth Day – Online Hospitality Conference

The global hospitality and tourism industry’s food production accounts for 1% of ALL global GHG emissions and its food waste for 3% (10 million tons of food waste, of which 55% of that carbon footprint coming from meat).

In hotel operations, food waste can account for 11% of carbon emissions, and over 50% of the carbon footprint of food services comes from meat.

The need to do better is what we call the Plant-Based Elephant in the room. We need to integrate more plant-forward menus, and reduce food waste.

Earth Day is an opportunity to reflect on how hospitality is moving toward more sustainable practices, and how guest demand is accelerating this evolution.

The Vegan Hospitality Conference on Earth Day – 22nd April 2026 – brings together industry leaders, operators, and consultants to explore practical strategies for plant-forward hospitality.

Registration is free. Join the conversation.
